A true masterpiece. Just highly recommended for every Italo fan.

//I remember when I heard this record for the first time nearly ten years ago. At that time I knew it has something special but I couldn't find an access to this "obscure" sound! But now, when I heard it again, it has grown to one of my absolutely favourite Italo-Disco records! A true masterpiece!Btw: In several forums I read the only good sounding record is the one on Proto. So don't waste your money on this reissues :)

Seriously, so the 2014 reissue is taken from a vinyl rip? That kind of shit should be mentioned on the sleeve. Very bad behaviour by the label if they pass something off as a reissue when it's just a rip.I admit I have not heard this reissue but the (illegal) .wav file of the original vinyl press will do me for now, thank you all the same. Why would I want a vinyl rip, digitally encoded, back onto vinyl? Beyond belief!

Not all earlier recordings have the Masters lying around. It's the only we we can access much of the older music. This is a pretty common practice.

Minimaal Oh please... you wouldn't know how many reissues are made directly from vinyl or tapes, whole labels! And i would go further : some vinyl/tape remasters pressed on good wax sound better than proper remasters... it's happening a lot with this huge comeback of minimal synth or new wave obscurities. In any case this release sounds just fine both on my two home systems or played in a huge club. There will be no reissue so "keeping it on illegal wav" sounds just insane to me, considering how incredible / important is this 12" exactly thisA lot of times the artist doesn't even have copies of their own records, you think they have the mastertapes? :-)btw I have compared the original and repress of Decadance and there is really no difference, the sound quality is part of the song, take it or leave it...

Really outstanding production.Too bad it distorts a lot during the end of both versions on the original pressing (also the dub has a strange delay around 6 minutes which is cut after a few seconds..)

The 2014 Archivio Fonografico Moderno/Mannequin pressing of this amazing track seems to be remastered from the original vinyl release. The original pressing is notoriously breaking up in the high frequency spectrum towards the end of both sides. I suspect this is a vinyl mastering issue (sounds like it) but it might be in the recording. This artefact is present in the repress as well. Maybe the original recordings were unavailable, lost or in even worse condition than an original vinyl release. In a way the deterioration of the quality adds to the absolute drama of the track itself: everything seems to be falling appart in a very melancholic way.At least the release is available again for a more affordable price than what originals go for nowadays.

i buyed this record by axcident,in 1984.when i was home i played it again, i was as thonished.how can you buy such a record. i played years later, and become to think so dramatic,so pierrot, but i like the sound, lyrics. now in 2015 i saw the orginal pressing is so expensive became. i have one record out off 1983,and i won,t sell it i lett the record plastifyed, and puttit on the wall in my room. all i can say it,s an ecriddeble record

I know almost all songs from Ultravox! and a lot of Ultravox, too.... Never noticed any similarities to Rago & Farinas gorgeous anthem... What Ultravox! song do you refer to?

One of THEE most emotive Italo tracks ever.

For the first time I am going to say bombastic words; this release is spectacular! the piano in Dub version is also very nice.

One of the best! Italo meets Coldwave. Primo combination.

There are a lot of great italo disco songs out there, but this is maybe the best of them all. Brilliant build up with gorgeous male vocals. Then the song is turned upside down, with a female breaking in, singing "on and on", which turns the song into another galaxy. This song is reason enough to love italo disco. Should be in everybody's music collection. Simply mindblowing. Do me a favour, and play this song 'ON AND ON' !!

"On And On (Fears Keep On)" is a total masterpiece production in the italo disco genre. The same people behind 'Lectric Workers and many other infamous italo projects present us with this song under the alius of 'Decadance'. The song shares male/female vocals - the male has a very heavy Italian accent, while the female vocals are probably the best example of just how amazing an italo song could be. All in all, this is a very dark song and is something like a love song meets electro-synth crossover. I love this song so much and don't doubt it's level of demand one bit.

I ve been an italo aficionado since the 80s but introduced to this record by IF, from the first time i heard it, I was very enthralled.A true space age love song, with strange lyrics about galactic travel.I went out and found me a couple copies of this, and it continues to be one of my favorite records Impressive, brilliant stuff.subtle, yet effective in every measure. The true essence of what italo disco was, has been, and can be, is here. The record has the right amount of eerie synths, with the equally eerie vocals.
